IND vs AUS: Australia are currently in India for a really important four-match Test series part of the famous Border Gavaskar Trophy. Even before the start of the Test series against India, the visiting Australian side have almost guaranteed themselves a place in this year’s ICC World Test Championship Final. Australia will certainly be eyeing to win their first Test series in India since 2004.
IND vs AUS: Cameron Green struggling with fitness issues
The visiting Australian team have already suffered two heart-breaking setbacks with the pace duo of Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood getting ruled out from the first Test match against India due to their respective injury issues. To add to their woes, premier all-rounder Cameron Green is also struggling with a finger injury and he is very much unlikely to be fit for the opening Test match starting from Thursday. The Aussie team management will definitely be looking forward to play an extra batsman in Matt Renshaw or Peter Handscomb to extend their batting line-up on a turning Nagpur pitch.
On the other, right-arm pacer Scott Boland is very much in contention to play his first-ever Test match outside Australia as the second fast bowler alongside captain Pat Cummins. Nathan Lyon and Ashton Agar will be the premier spinners with the trio of Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith as the part-time spin bowling options.
