Team India faced a massive injury scare after KL Rahul hobbled off the field while trying to catch on the boundary during ongoing India versus England match on Sunday’s World Cup 2019 fixture.
Rahul went for a diving catch in the 16th over of the match against England, in that process hurt his back and was taken off the field immediately by the team physios.
The team management has now given an update on the injury saying that he is being assessed and should be back on the field. “He is being assessed and treated. He is expected to be back,” the statement from the team management read.

According to the update delivered by the team management, the Indian opener is expected to be back on the field soon. there is Additional good news for Team India comes as Rahul’s injury has been considered to be an external injury, which means he can bat despite being off the field.

Ravindra Jadeja was called as Rahul’s replacement to continue the fielding for his team from the 16th over.
The way England are going, it will be a tough game for India. With a replacement in Pant in the middle order, the top order has to give a solid start.
