ICC reveals the hosts for the 2023 World Cup!

This time ICC has selected India as the hosts of the 2023 Cricket World Cup which will begin in the month of February 9 and will continue till March 26, 2023. England has hosted the most number of World Cups as they have hosted five editions so far.
World Cup 2023: Entirely hosted by India
This is going to be the first time when the tournament will be entirely hosted by India. India has earlier hosted the World Cup tournament thrice but every time they had co-hosted it with its Asian neighbours.
The tournament will be played in the same format as played in 2019
India will now become the second team after England to host the World Cup four or more times. England has so far hosted and co-hosted the tournament five times. They hosted the first two editions alone before the other three editions were hosted along with neighbours Scotland, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The tournament will be played in the same format as played in 2019.

First host nation to win the tournament.
Pakistan also was a co-host for the 2011 World Cup tournament but after the 2009 attack on Sri Lanka national team in Lahore, ICC decided to call it off. The headquarters of the organizing committee was also shifted to Mumbai. Subsequently, four matches each got held in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The 2011 World Cup final was held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where India lifted the World Cup trophy after 28 years of their first triumph and it also created history by becoming the first host nation to win the tournament.
