Bangladesh wicket-keeper Mushfiqur Rahim blows Bangladesh run out chance and gives Kane Williamson another opportunity. Bangladesh wicketkeeper distributed the bails even before the ball came into his hands and also could not remove a stump from the ground
It was just that luck was in favour of the New Zealand captain as the wicket keeper’s blunder saved him or else New Zealand would have lost a very big wicket.
Mushfiqur Rahim blows run-out chance
Ross Taylor had attempted a run after hitting Shakib Al Hasan to Tamim Iqbal who then threw the ball to Mushfiqur’s end with Williamson struggling to run fast between the wickets.
However, the Bangladesh wicketkeeper disturbed the bails with his arm before he had collected the call that Tamim’ threw, which looked destined to hit middle stump.
Mushfiqur failed to pull out one of the stumps from the ground and therefore the decision of not out was given by the third umpire.
New Zealand scored 61 runs at the cost of 2 wickets in the 12th over of the match when this incident occurred. They had to chase down a total of 245 to beat New Zealand.

The crowd at the Oval, who were all heartening the wicket, were shocked to silence after observing the replays which implied that the wicketkeeper’s interference was not needed as the throw would have been a direct hit.
