Sri Lanka pacer will leave the team following their ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 game against Bangladesh, today at Bristol, to show up to the funeral of his mother-in-law.
This time is extremely saddening and deeply emotional for all the Sri Lanka fans and those who support Malinga.
In this deeply dejected phase, all that Malinga will need is support and love from all his fans across the globe so that he gains strength and confidence to play to his full potential.
According to a release from Sri Lanka Cricket, “Malinga will leave the team following Sri Lanka’s World Cup Game against Bangladesh, which will be played today, as his Mother-In-Law has passed away.”

Malinga may miss CWC 19 fixture vs. Australia
Sri Lanka did not really have a dream start to begin their World Cup campaign. They currently have 3 points after 3 matches. They lost their opener against New Zealand which is currently at the top of the table but marked their comeback in their second match against Afghanistan.
The star bowler may miss the next SL fixture against Australia.
