जडेजा की वापसी

रवींद्र जडेजा की एकदिवसीय क्रिकेट में इससे बेहतर वापसी शायद ही हो सकती थी. उन्होने बांग्लादेश के खिलाफ खेलते हुए 29 रन देकर कुल 4 विकेट लिए. उन्होने कहा कि वे किसी को कुछ साबित नहीं करना चाहतें.

जडेजा ने कहा कि टीम में वापसी के लिए उन्होने दिन गिने थे और यह उनकी 480 दिनों के बाद टीम में वापसी है. उन्होने वापसी में मिले मौके का फायदा उठाया और अच्छा प्रदर्शन करके मैन ऑफ द मैच का खिताब भी अपने नाम किया.

खुद को चुनौती दी

मैच के बाद मीडिया को संबोधित करते हुए जडेजा ने कहा कि, यह उनकी सबसे ज्यादा देर में हुई वापसी है. उन्होने टीम के बाहर समय बिताया है पर यह सबसे ज्यादा समय था. उन्होने कहा कि लंबे समय बाद वापसी करने के लिए आपको खुद को चुनौती देनी पड़ती है.

उनका प्रदर्शन अब सीधा चयनकर्ताओं की नजर में आने वाले विश्वकप के लिए रहेगा, पर जडेजा का कहना है कि वे अभी इतनी दूर की नहीं सोच रहे. उनका कहना है कि जब भी उन्हे मौका मिलेगा वे केवल बांग्लादेश वाले मुकाबले की तरह ही प्रदर्शन करना चाहेंगे.

विश्व कप 2019 के बारे में पूछे जाने पर जडेजा ने कहा कि, विश्वकप अभी काफी दूर है और वह केवल शृंखला और मुकाबलों को ही ध्यान में रख रहे है. उन्होने कहा कि विश्वकप से पहले अभी कई मुकाबले खेलने हैं इसलिए वे अभी विश्वकप के बारे में नहीं सोच सकते.

बड़ा मौका

उन्होने कहा कि अधिकतर टेस्ट श्रृंखलाएं विदेशों में खेली गई, जिस कारण उन्हे टेस्ट श्रृंखलाओं में मौका नहीं मिला,पर वे मिलने वाले किसी भी मौके में प्रदर्शन करना चाहते थे. उन्होने कहा कि उनका नियंत्रण केवल उनके प्रदर्शन पर है , जिस वे बेहतर कर सकते हैं.

जडेजा ने बताया कि उन्हे आखिरी क्षण ही दुबई बुलाया गया. वे जब विजय हजारे ट्रॉफी खेल रहे थे तब चयनकर्ताओं ने उन्हे कॉल करके कहा कि दुबई जाने के लिए तैयार हो जाओ.

अंत में पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ होने वाले मुकाबले के बारे में पूछे जाने पर जडेजा ने कहा कि, यह मायने नहीं रखता की विपक्षी दल पाकिस्तानी है या और कोई टीम. उन्होने कहा कि पाकिस्तान प्रमुख विरोधी है, और पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ होने वाले मुकाबले हमेशा से ही रोमांचक और पसंदीदा होते हैं.

The comeback

Ravindra Jadeja could not have picked a better match to make a comeback for India. He played against Bangladesh and picked up four wickets for only 29 runs. He stated that he did not have to prove anything to anyone.

He said that he had kept count of the days he had been away from the team, which was roughly around 480 days. But he made his return count and also bagged the Man of the Match award for the match.

Challenge himself

At the post-match conference, Jadeja stated that this gap was longer than any of his previous gaps. He also said that he had to challenge himself and sharpen his own abilities and did not have to prove anything to anyone.

This might have been directed towards the selectors as the World Cup is nearing but he said that he was not thinking that far ahead. He said that his aim was to perform the way he performed against Bangladesh in every match he gets to play.

When asked about the 2019 World Cup, he said that it was too far away and he was focusing on this series at the moment. He said there are still many matches left to play before the World Cup so he cannot think about it yet.

The big break

He pointed out that he had not been getting chances in Test either because most series had been abroad in the last year, so he wanted to perform on any occasion he got. He said the only thing he could control and focus on was his performance.

Jadeja stated that coming to Dubai was the last minute call. He was playing the Vijay Hazare tournament and he got a last minute call from the selectors who told him to be ready to go to Dubai.

Lastly, asked to comment upon the upcoming match with Pakistan. He said that it did not matter whether it was Pakistan or any other team. He said that playing for India was a matter of pride but India-Pakistan matches certainly attract a lot of attention and excitement.
