The ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 has arguably been the best edition as it has not only saw the staggering competition between the top-ranked teams. This time around there has been a fair competition among all the teams as few low-ranked teams have pulled off an upset and have dented their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals.
How can Pakistan qualify for semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022?
Things are not going well for Pakistan Cricket Team in the T20 World Cup 2022. They started their campaign with a disappointing 5-wicket loss against arch-rivals India in Melbourne. It was expected that they would come out all guns blazing after that loss.
But it didn’t turn out to be as they suffered an upset for ages. The Babar Azam-led side were at the receiving end of 1-run thumping at the hands of Zimbabwe, who played a staggering brand of cricket to outshine Pakistan in all three departments.
With the loss, Zimbabwe, Pakistan have almost dented their chances of qualifying for the semifinals of the ongoing World Cup. However, they are not completely out of the tournament. They are now dependant on the other results to go their way if they have to fancy their chances of going ahead into the knockout stages.
First of all, Pakistan needs to win in all the remaining matches against South Africa, Bangladesh and Netherlands by big margins to improve their NRR. After that, three, for them to qualify, they would want South Africa to lose the match against India and Zimbabwe to lose at least two matches out of their remaining three games along with Bangladesh losing one game as well.
