Next in line is former India captain Mithali Raj, she scored an unbeaten 97 against Malaysia in June 2018. her knock came in 71 deliveries as she had a strike rate of 140.57. She was unlucky to have not scored a hundred and at that moment could have become the first Indian women to score a hundred in T20Is.
Smriti Mandhana features in the top five list, not once, not twice but thrice as she has a highest score of 86 off 62 deliveries against New Zealand at Hamilton. her next best score is 83 off 55 against Australia at Providence in November 2018.
Interestingly, despite missing out on a hundred she is one of the best Indian players of her generation. Her third highest score is India’s fifth best score as she scored 79 off 53 deliveries in September 2022.
