India won the 4th T20I in a dramatic manner. They pulled things back when everything seemed to be out of their control. But this Indian team developed the habit of never give up attitude which is helping them to come back harder and harder when things are not going their way.

Unsung hero: Manish Pandey

The Karnataka batsman has been in and around the Indian team for over 5 years now. Manish Pandey was never been made a permanent member of the team in his entire career till now. But he never gave up. His grit and will to score mountains of runs in domestic always made him a hard customer to ignore for the selectors. The Karnataka captain has now made a lasting impression with his crucial half-century in the 4th T20I and probably might be enough to see him in the T20 world cup playing XI starting in October this year.

Manish Pandey owns the No:6 spot which is not so familiar for him

India lost all their top order in the 4th T20I and it was the calm and composed head of Manish Pandey that took India to a respectable total with which India sneaked a victory to go 4-0 up. The no. 6 position in T20s is known to be a mad hitting position where every team would like to have some power hitters like Russell, pollard etc. Manish Pandey who is known for his top-order batting exploits has suited perfectly in the no. 6 slot in the Indian team.
Here’s what Manish Pandey had to say about his unfamiliar position at no:6:

I have no choice. I have to be good with it. I have to start preparing my mind as a no. 6 batsman because normally I bat up the order, no. 3 or no.4. Here with the competition up the top, you just have to wait for your chances.

Last 6 T20I innings – 50*, 14*, 14*, 31*, 22*, 2*
(133 runs without being dismissed)

Last 6 T20 innings – 50*, 14*, 14*, 31*, 60*, 3*
(172 runs without being dismissed)

India have also won their last 18 T20Is when Manish Pandey was in the playing XI. More or less Manish Pandey has secured a spot for the upcoming WT20 for sure.
