GT vs RR IPL 2022 Playoffs Weather Forecast: After the exciting and entertaining league stage, it is now time for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) playoffs. The Qualifier 1 will be played between the table toppers Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 24 May, 2022 (Tuesday). The Gujarat Titans ended up losing their last league match while Rajasthan Royals are coming off from two amazing victories in a row.

According to the forecast on weather.com and multiple sources, the weather forecast at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata is not looking good at all for the Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals, Qualifier 1. On 24 May, 2022 (Tuesday), there are 48% chances of rain during the day and 56% possibility at night. Thunderstorms are predicted throughout the match timings with humidity expected to rise to 82% at night. However, from the technical point of view, the pitch at the Eden Gardens will get ready for the match after the rain delay quite instantly due to the amazing ground support available.

According to the latest guidelines issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), a Super Over will be contested to decide the final result of the playoffs match including the final, in case any of the games be disrupted by the weather and no play is possible in regulation time. However, if the pitch or the ground is not ready in the stipulated time for even the Super Over, then the final result will be decided by looking at where the teams are placed in the league standings.

The Gujarat Titans are very much likely to play their full strength playing 11 in this crucial Qualifier 1 encounter. Rahmanullah Gurbaz might get his debut IPL cap in place of Matthew Wade.
