Things did not panned out in an ideal manner for the Delhi Capitals recently in the ongoing T20 competition as they suffered a poor 9-run defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous game. After having won the toss and opting to bat first, the Delhi Capitals captain David Warner revealed that unfortunately Mitchell Marsh is not part of the DC playing XI for today’s GT vs DC match. Warner further mentioned that the Australian all-rounder is sick and was not available for selection. Incidentally, Marsh was the Man of the Match despite Delhi Capitals losing by 9 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad as he ended up taking as many as 4 wickets and also notched up a wonderful innings of 63 runs off only 39 balls that included 6 sixes. In his absence, the Delhi Capitals have included left-handed South African batsman Rilee Rossouw in the side for this game against Gujarat Titans.

“We will bat first. Nice wicket, looks a bit dry. Want to put runs on the board. We have to come out positive, we got some young talent and hopefully they all will get to showcase it tonight. Unfortunately Mitch Marsh is sick, so Rilee Rossouw comes in for him. Khaleel has recovered from the niggle and he is back as well,” said Delhi Capitals captain David Warner during the toss.
