Left-arm seamer Yash Dayal has been omitted from the eleven for right arm seamer Darshan Nalkande.
GT vs CSK IPL 2023 Qualifier 1: Why is Yash Dayal Not Playing Today’s IPL 2023 Match?
Yash Dayal has played the last two games for Gujarat Titans against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He picked up a wicket each in the last two games, but the Gujarat team management picked up the right-arm pacer Darshan Nalkande who has already represented Titans in the last season. The decision is purely a tactical one and there is no sort of injury concern for Yash Dayal. Here’s what Pandya said at the toss,
“We will bowl first. We heard dew will come, so we want to know what exactly to chase down. We were told to relax after getting into the top-2, but we didn’t want, want to stay focussed and play good cricket. We are a smart team, we don’t play only one way, we make sure to get the best out of the wicket and have adapted. Darshan Nalkande comes in place of Yash Dayal.”

Yash Dayal IPL 2023 Salary
Yash Dayal’s exceptional performance in the 2021-22 Vijay Hazare Trophy season propelled him into the top 10 list of wicket-takers. His notable achievements garnered attention from multiple potential buyers during the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Ultimately, the Gujarat Titans secured his services for a significant sum of INR 3.2 crore. Despite facing stiff competition from other bidders, the GT team emerged victorious in acquiring the talented 24-year-old player. They showed confidence in his abilities by retaining him for the subsequent season at the same price.
