After an exciting white-ball leg, India and Australia are flexing their muscles for the test series showdown. In the quest of that, India are playing their second warm-up game against Australia ‘A’ currently at Sydney Cricket Ground. This presents an ideal opportunity for the Indians to prepare themselves for the upcoming pink ball test match at Adelaide Oval.

Cameron Green gets hit on the head!

In an unfortunate event, Australian prodigy Cameron Green was hit on the head by a drive from Jasprit Bumrah. Cameron Green came on to bowl his second spell late into the Indian innings today. He was already impressive after he had Shubman Gill nicking out to the keeper off an absolute peach.

Jasprit Bumrah played a straight drive rather in a lofty way and presented an opportunity of catch to Cameron Green, who was in his follow-through at the time. He tried to catch the ball but it just bounced on to his head after hitting his hands. Mohammed Siraj, who was at the non-striker end, rushed straight to the Australian to check on him.

Cameron Green ruled out of the game!

After this incident, Cameron Green left the field with team doctors. After a couple of hours, it was made official that Cameron Green has been ruled out of remainder of the match due to concussion. Pat Rowe has been named as his replacement by the team management. Further, it was added that Cameron Green will be assessed tomorrow morning again and call on his availability for Adelaide test will be taken after that. It will be unfortunate if he gets ruled out of the first test as he was in line to make his debut on Thursday. Only fair to add that, Will Pucovski – another potential debutant had faced similar concussion while batting in the first warm-up match and was declared unfit for this game.
