Shaw makes the most of his opportunity
After delivering impressive performances in domestic cricket, the Mumbai batsman found a place in India’s Test squad for the series in England. But he didn’t get any opportunity in England and had to wait till the West Indies series to make his Test debut.
However when the opportunity came, he seized it with both hands and reached to his maiden Test hundred after scoring some delightful strokes.

Wow! An unflustered, run a ball ? on debut Prithvi Shaw, who's looked all at ease during his first hit. With the way he's batting, he might even go on to get a double. 100 on FC debut, 100 on test debut, U19 WC winning captain. Whaddaplaya. Sign of great things to come.

You would expect a player on debut to be nervous… not @PrithviShaw!!! What a start 23 (18) and still going. I think this next generation of Indian batsmen are going to like Aussie conditions #INDvsWI

The only other 'Shaw' to play Test cricket was England's Alfred Shaw, who had the distinction of delivering the first ever ball in Test cricket on March 15, 1877.#INDvWI#PrithviShaw

In his first Test innings, Prithvi Shaw has provided what he has always promised: punchy strokes of both front foot and back foot. And he hasn't let the occasion overawe him. I wanted to see him in England because it would have been an opportunity to learn something new about him
