Former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza tests Covid-19 positive

According to the latest reports, Mashrafe Mortaza has tested positive for COVID-19. Mortaza, who is Dhaka currently, undertook tests last week. The former Bangladesh skipper was actively involved in charity work in the last two months and has now contracted the virus. Mashrafe’s brother Morsalin Bin Mortaza confirmed the news of Mashrafe’s infection.
“Mashrafe had a fever on Thursday night. His sample for coronavirus test was collected on Friday and it came back positive today. He has a slight fever with body aches. As he has no other symptoms, Mashrafe is currently receiving treatment at his home. He is staying in isolation with his family and is doing well at the moment and his family is also fine,” told Morsalin.
Nafees Iqbal tested positive
Earlier, another Bangladesh cricketer and Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal’s brother, Nafees Iqbal was tested positive for COVID-19. Iqbal is now in stable condition.
Coronavirus pandemic in Bangladesh
The total Covid-19 cases in Bangladesh have are past 100,000, with over 40 per cent recoveries so far. The virus has claimed 1388 lives in the country.
