Amit Mishra’s run out in IPL 2014
Over the years, leg-spinner Amit Mishra has been involved in many comical incidents on the cricket field but his run out in IPL 2014 was one of the most comical dismissals he has ever been a part of. During a match between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mishra on the bowling of James Faulkner missed the delivery and tried to steal a single. Irfan Pathan, who was at the non-striker’s end, refused to take the run.

When RR wicketkeeper Sanju Samson saw Amit Mishra out of the crease he tried to ran the latter out by attempting a direct hit, which he missed. The ball then went to Faulkner but Mishra still didn’t go back into the crease as he was disappointed with Pathan for not taking a single. The bowler also tried a direct hit but he also missed and the ball went back to Samson and he threw the ball on the stumps and ran out the batsman in a third attempt.
