Sabbir Rahman – Not thinking about 400, 500 runs, even if they do score, who can chase that down
After the conclusion of ICC World Cup 2015, the Bangladesh cricket team were in red hot form as they thumped Pakistan, India and South Africa at their home. Their next challenge was again England, who was in a prime form and were scoring 350-450 runs in every game for fun. Ahead of the series, Bangladesh’s right-handed batsman Sabbir Rahman made a statement that saw him and his entire cricket team getting trolled.

The right-handed batsman felt that his team can easily chase about 400-500 runs if England score that much. “A team is always strong at their home ground. So are we. England is doing well in England. When they come here, they will probably have to battle our spinners and they will need to survive that. I am not thinking about 400, 500 runs. Even if they do score that much, we have the batsmen who can chase that down,” he said. His statement got even more trolled and mocked when Bangladesh lost the series 2-1.
