Despite taking 10 wickets and bagging the man of the match in the last match he played, Pragyan Ojha has never featured in the Indian side since then. Notably, the match was against West Indians and also the last match of the batting great Sachin Tendulkar’s career. At the time he was 27 years old had more than 100 Test wickets to his name. However, with the likes of R Ashwin and Harbhajan Singh in the team, his performance was overshadowed which further led to his omission from the squad and who would’ve thought that time the match against West Indies was his last match.

Even though he failed to find a place on the Indian side, he continued playing in the domestic circuit till 2018 and then in the early 2020s he finally called time on his career. He’s certainly one of the Indian players who should’ve had a long career. Overall in 48 matches across the format, the left-arm spinner took 144 wickets. The 35-year-old also has played a fair amount of matches in the Indian Premier League as overall in 92 matches, he took 89 wickets at an impressive economy of 7.37.
