RCB vs RR IPL 2021 Match 16: After starting off their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 campaign on a sensational note, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are all set for their fourth match of the season against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in 22nd April. The Virat Kohli-led side is the only undefeated team in this tournament so far with 3 brilliant wins against Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. After a superb performance during their Chennai-leg of games, RCB have now arrived in Mumbai for their next two matches.
RCB vs RR IPL 2021: Finn Allen all set to make his RCB debut?
Ahead of their first match on the flat Wankhede wicket, RCB’s Director of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson has stated that their newest recruit Finn Allen might make his IPL debut in today’s match against Rajasthan Royals because of the batting-friendly conditions on offer. New Zealand’s big-hitting opener Finn Allen was signed by RCB as a replacement for Josh Philippe who pulled out of the season due to personal reasons. The Kiwi batsman smashed an incredible knock of 71 runs off only 29 balls in his last T20I match against Bangladesh. Therefore, RCB might give an opportunity to Allen on the big occasion of his 22nd birthday in this game and make good use of his big-hitting abilities in these phenomenal batting conditions.

New city, but the same hunger to perform. We remember what happened between these two teams met last time, but the coaches and the players look at it as a fresh start and have their plans in place for the Royal Battle.#PlayBold #IPL2021 #RCBvRR pic.twitter.com/tofWj7mOhq

Rajat Patidar will have to make way for Finn Allen in the playing XI for the RR game today. However, the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s team management will have to take a tough decision with regards to who will be their two openers for this match. Both Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal haven’t been able to convert their starts into big innings so far in this tournament and thus, the RCB captain could drop himself at No.3 with Finn Allen being more suitable as an opener. Navdeep Saini who is yet to feature in the RCB playing XI this season, could get a game today as his express pace will come very handy on this Wankhede wicket.
