1. Shaun Tait – 157.1 kmph
Australian pacer Shaun Tait holds the record for the Fastest ball in IPL. Known mostly for his express pacer, the pacer played for Rajasthan Royals for four seasons from 2010 and played a total of 21 matches in the league. He recorded the fastest ball in a match against Delhi Daredevils in IPL 2011. While bowing to Aaron Finch, the pacer clicked 157.1 kmph. Notably, his record in the league is still unbeaten.

2. Anrich Nortje – 156.22 kmph
Ever since Anrich Nortje debuted in IPL, he stunned everyone by his fiery pace, which made batters struggle too. The Delhi Capitals pacer sits second on the list of the Fastest ball in IPL. Among one of the bowlers who can click 150 kmph consistently, Nortje clocked 156.22 kmph against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020. He bowled a fiery delivery to Jos Buttler, who scoped it for four. But the pacer came back strongly in the next ball, which was 155.21 kmph and rattled his stumps to send him packing.
3. Dale Steyn – 154.4 kmph
Dale Steyn’s name in the list of the Fastest ball in IPL won’t surprise you. Known as ‘Steyn Gun’, the right-arm pacer played for Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Gujrat Lions and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. He in the match during 2012 edition of the marquee tournament clicked 154.4 kmph. He can arguably be considered as one of the best pacers in the history of the game, who had an impact in all three formats of the game.

4. Kagiso Rabada – 154.23 kmph
Like his South African bowling partner Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada is also considered as the fiercest pacers in cricket these days. Hence, his name in the list of the Fastest ball in IPL is a no brainer. Ever since joining Delhi Capitals, the right-arm pacer has consistently clocked 150 kmph. But in one of the matches during IPL 2020, he clicked 154.23 kmph and also has a delivery of 153.91 kmph in the league to his name.
5. Lockie Ferguson – 153.84 kmph
New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson is fifth on the list of the Fastest ball in IPL. The right-arm pacer has played 22 matches in the marquee tournament and has made his name in the league with the same express pace. He achieved the feat of bowling 153.84 kmph during the IPL 2020. The Kiwi pacer has taken 24 wickets in the league so far.
