While playing for the Delhi Capitals, premier pace bowler Anrich Nortje is back in form and even bowled a rocketing delivery clocking a tremendous bowling speed of 147.9 kmph during the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. He has missed a lot of games this T20 season due to injuries but is now back in his usual rhythm. Nortje has also bowled the third fastest ball in IPL 2022 with at a pace of 152.6 kmph after the duo of Umran Malik and Lockie Ferguson who have hit the highest bowling speed of 157 and 153.9 kmph respectively.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the Rajasthan Royals did not had the best of starts as their in-form opening batsman Jos Buttler was dismissed in just the third over of the match. The pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravichandran Ashwin then combined together to put up a fine stand of 43 runs. Ashwin notched up his maiden T20 half-century while Devdutt Padikkal also smacked a crucial knock of 48 runs off 30 balls.
