The Fastest 50 in the T20 World Cup belongs to none other than Yuvraj Singh. The southpaw achieved the feat against England in the inaugural edition of the tournament when he smashed a half-century in 12 balls. Notably, this was the same innings, in which he smashed 6 sixes to Stuart Broad.
Marcus Stoinis became the second Fastest batter to smash a half-century in the T20 World Cup. The all-rounder was at his hitting best as he smashed fifty in just 17 balls against Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup 2022. His innings helped his side win the game inside 17 overs.
Netherlands’ Stephan Myburgh holds the record for a joint second-fastest second half-century in the T20 World Cup. He achieved the feat when he smashed 50 runs in just 17 balls against Ireland during the T20 World Cup 2014.
KL Rahul has the fourth Fastest 50 in T20 World Cup. The opening batter took also took 18 balls to reach the milestone. He achieved the feat during the T20 World Cup 2021 clash against Scotland in Dubai.
Another Australian that is in the list of the Fastest 50 in the T20 World Cup is Glenn Maxwell. The all-rounder smashed the half-century in just 18 balls when he tonked Pakistani pacers during the T20 World Cup 2014.
