Fastest 50 in IPL 2022: The batsmen have been making merry of the flat batting-friendly conditions so far as witnessed in this 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). On the belter of pitches in Mumbai and Pune, the fans have seen some of the outstanding batting performances already in the ongoing edition of the T20 tournament.

While playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), middle-order batsman Rahul Tripathi has smashed the joint second fastest half-century in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022 season that came off just 21 balls. Also, Tripathi played a blistering match-defining knock of 71 runs off only 37 balls that included a total of 6 sixes and 4 fours against his previous IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He is now tied with Liam Livingstone to score the second quickest fifty in IPL 2022.
Kolkata Knight Riders’ Pat Cummins is still placed at the top of the list after his stupendous fifty off only 14 balls in the match against Mumbai Indians which was also the joint fastest fifty in the history of the IPL alongside KL Rahul.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the Kolkata Knight Riders posted a challenging total of 175 for 8 in their 20 overs. Nitish Rana scored a fine half-century while Andre Russell also smashed a wonderful unbeaten knock of 49 runs off only 25 balls. For SRH, T Natarajan picked up as many as 3 crucial wickets.

In reply, Rahul Tripathi made things quite easy for the Sunrisers Hyderabad with a fabulous innings of 71 runs that turned the run-chase on its head. Aiden Markram also remained at the crease till the end with a brilliant knock of 68 off just 36 balls to help SRH register their third back-to-back victory this season.
