From Virat Kohli to Kapil Dev, Rohit Sharma to Mohammad Azharuddin there have been names who glittered the global stage of cricket. The aforementioned big names have one common accolade and that is they hold the record for fastest hundred for India in various format.
Fastest T20 Hundred for India

Rohit Sharma holds the record for the fastest T20 hundred for India. Alongside David Miller of South Africa, he has the fastest hundred in T20I, which he scored in December 2017.
It took Rohit 35 deliveries to score a hundred against Sri Lanka as India managed to score 260/5 in their 20 overs. India would go on to win that match by 88 runs.

Virat Kohli holds the record for the fastest ODI hundred for India after his knock saw India chase a record 360 runs in October 2013. The run chase in Jaipur saw Virat bring his ton in 52 deliveries. India won the match with 39 balls to spare and by nine runs as Virat Kohli was the chief architect of the win.
Like Rohit Sharma, Virat would also go on to lead the Indian side in the future. a reign in which India played in the finals of the Champions Trophy and World Test Championship.

Mohammad Azharuddin and Kapil Dev share the record for fastest test hundred for India.
While Kapil’s hundred came in 1986, Azharuddin joined hands in 1996 with him as they share record for the fastest hundred in Test cricket for India. Both needed 74 deliveries to reach the fastest hundred in Test. Kapil’s hundred came against Sri Lanka in Kanpur while Azhar’s hundred came against South Africa in Kolkata.
