1. Kapil Dev
Former Indian World Cup-winning captain, Kapil Dev has acted in multiple movies. The cricketer played a cameo in three big movies. First, he appeared in the film “Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii” in which he signs the bat of the lead character, played by a teenage boy. After that, he also played a cameo in the movie “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” and “Iqbal”.
2. Irfan Pathan
Former Indian all-rounder, Irfan Pathan became a commentator post his retirement from international cricket. Irfan also indulges his time and efforts in coaching and setting up camps for emerging cricket talents. However, recently, Irfan Pathan decided to display another hidden talent of his to the world. Irfan made his acting debut in a film called “Cobra” released this year in the month of August. Pathan was seen portraying the role of an Interpol agent.
3. Sunil Gavaskar
Former Indian batting legend, Sunil Gavaskar, also tried his hand at show business. After appearing in a Marathi movie, Gavaskar did a cameo in a hit movie called “Malamaal” starring Naseeruddin Shah. He played himself and defeated Shah in a friendly encounter.
4. Sreesanth
Sreesanth was banned from playing cricket after his name appeared in an explosive match-fixing scandal during the IPL. Post that, Sreesanth made a short career in the movie industry. The pacer appeared in a lot of movies. The most famous ones were “Aksar 2” and “Cabaret”. Apart from this, he also participated in a reality show called Big Boss hosted by Salman Khan and ended up as the runner-up of the show.
5. Harbhajan Singh
Former Indian spin wizard, Harbhajan Singh began his acting career with a Punjabi film. Later, he ventured into Bollywood and appeared in the movie called “Friendship” which was released in the year 2021. In the movie, Harbhajan is part of a group of friends who seek revenge for their fellow female friend who was sexually assaulted. Before this, Harbhajan Singh also appeared in a reality show called “Roadies” as a gang leader.
