In these testing times in the country due to the rising covid cases, hospitals are in serious need of oxygen supplies, ICU beds, and ventilators. The cricketers like Pat Cummins and Brett Lee have donated towards India’s cause to help the people get sufficient oxygen supplies. The cricketers like Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa, and Kane Richardson recently pulled out of the IPL due to the rising cases in the country and restrictions on people coming from India. While at present there are around 30 Australian members including players and staff that are a part of the Indian Premier League 2021.

Update on Eoin Morgan for IPL 2021
The Kolkata Knight Riders captain would be a happy man after finally getting into good form in the tournament. He remained unbeaten on 47 off 40 balls and stitched a good partnership with Rahul Tripathi to steer the team well to help the team register their 2nd win in the tournament. In the post-match conference, Eoin Morgan was asked about pulling out of the IPL due to the rising cases in the country. The fellow countrymen Liam Livingstone pulled out 2 weeks back due to the bio-bubble fatigue. Here is what Eoin Morgan said about the IPL 2021 staged at times of lockdown in the country.
“When we came out of our initial lockdown period, I remember the first sport on TV was probably Australia and New Zealand with rugby union and rugby league,” he said. “Slowly the Bundesliga started and then the Premier League started. That displayed you can play sport while the country is almost in full lockdown.” Morgan told to press.

Umpires Nitin Menon and Paul Reiffel pull out of IPL 2021
One of the top umpires from India, Nitin Menon has pulled out of the IPL due to his mother and wife testing positive for COVID and is not in a mental state to officiate a game.
While, Australian counterpart Paul Reiffel will not be a part of the remaining matches due to the travel restrictions imposed by the Australia government on people coming from India.
