England vs Sri Lanka: Jos Buttler ruled out, replacement announced

The England limited-overs squad has a lot of experience of playing in the international cricket as well as the franchise leagues. More than half of the players have been a part of the IPL and have gained confidence after performing well. There is a talented replacement for each player in the England circuit. The injury concerns have been common in times of excessive cricket being played nowdays. Many players have skipped the franchise leagues to be fit to play the showpiece event, ICC World Cup scheduled to take place later in the year.The latest to join the injury club, is wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler.

ENG vs SL: Jos Buttler ruled out of White-ball Series against Sri Lanka
The wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler who played a match-winning knock of 68* in the ENG vs SL 1st T20I will miss the remainder of the white-ball series against Sri Lanka, which comprises of 1 T20I and 3 ODI matches. The player already missed the 2nd T20I and was seen warming the dugout along with Moeen Ali and Liam Dawson.
The small tear in the right calf was observed in MRI scan that Buttler underwent on Thursday in Cardiff. He will return home and start his rehabilitation program. The no.1 T20I batsman Dawid Malan has been added to the ODI squad in the absence of Jos Buttler.

England seal the T20I series
The home team, England maintained their dominance in the T20 format by winning the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka. The bowlers have done a commendable job in both the innings to contain Sri Lanka team to a below par total. In the first T20I match, the partnership of Roy and Buttler won it for the team. In the 2nd T20I, the top 4 struggled to perform, but Liam Livingstone and Billings put up a decent partnership to stabilize the team, then Curran finished it well. The team would look to whitewash the series and march on to the ODI series.
