While, the England versus Ireland game was affected by the rain, and as a result, England endured a stunning defeat, by five runs. Moreover, India-Bangladesh and Pakistan-South Africa games too were influenced by the rain. Although, there’s not much to worry about as the ICC has scheduled reserved days for the final game.
Furthermore, the Melbourne weather, on Sunday, is predicted to hover around 13° celcius. There is an 80% chance of around 12 mm of rain. During game time, according to the Weather Channel, the winds will flow at a speed of around 10 to 15 km/h. During the local match time in Melbourne, there will be 85% humidity in the air (06:30 PM ACDT).

What if rain invades England vs Pakistan final?
This T20 WC has a reserved day for the final and that is Monday (November 14). The weather on Monday too is not predicted any better than that on Sunday. According to the Weather Channel, there is an 80% chance of rain with rainfall around 6 mm, in Melbourne on Monday.
The ICC has set certain rules for rain-affected matches. As per the rules, once the toss is done, the game is already in progress. Speaking about this England vs Pakistan game, finishing the game on Sunday (November 13), the previously scheduled day will be preferred first, even if it has to be reduced to certain overs. The minimum requirement, for the final, is 10 overs per innings. More importantly, there will be only 30 extra minutes available on Sunday, in case the rain occurs.
Further, if even a 10-over game cannot be played on Sunday, then the match will resume on Monday, and it will not be restarted. Furthermore, if the match was shortened but the play didn’t resume at all, it will again be a 20-over derby.
There are four extra hours available on Monday and the play will begin at 3 PM (ACDT) local time (if the reserved day is used). And again, if a minimum 10-over game cannot be played on Monday either, the trophy will be shared.
