England vs India: Practice Match Date, Details and Where to Watch It

The Indian team went in the World Test Championship Final without proper match practice. After completing the quarantine, they played intra-squad matches to prepare for the big event. While, New Zealand played 2 test matches against England and won the series 1-0. Then, came the big event and New Zealand team with a proper match practice emerged victorious and lifted the title.

Indian Team to play Practice match ahead of England Series
The BCCI requested ECB few days back to arrange practice matches for the Indian team ahead of an important 5-test match series against England. According to the sources, the request has been accepted by ECB and the Indian team is all set to play a practice match from July 20-22. This practice matches will be much needed for the team to get a proper idea of the conditions and pitch. Almost all the players until now fled to watch tournaments like Euro Cup and Wimbledon. The BCCI made sure they do not repeat the same mistakes twice and lose the chance of having an edge over the oppositions in crunch situations.
In a 3-day affair, Indian team will be up against County Championship XI, with Emirates Riverside, Durham as the venue. The match will be broadcasted live on Youtube. The squads of both the teams will be announced soon.

Players to Watch out in ENG vs IND Series
D Lawrence: The young batsman from Essex showed resilience in the test series against India that concluded in March. He also scored runs in the series against New Zealand and County Championship this year.
H Vihari: The middle-order batsman who missed the home series against England due to injury displayed fine composure in the series against Australia earlier this year and will look to continue his fine form.
M Shami: The pacer impressed everybody with his ability to swing the ball in the WTC Final. He remains as the vital part in the bowling unit to dismiss the England batsmen to win the series.
