England vs India live: It is always really exciting to witness Test cricket in England. However, the cricketing action is enjoyed only if there is no interruption due to rain or bad light. The ongoing first Test match between England and India got off to a remarkable start with no interruptions due to rain on Day 1. But things got worse on Day 2 as the rain gods only arrived at the moment when the honours got balanced between both the teams and a significant part of play was lost in the day.
When is Play expected to Start?
Only 11 balls were possible in the morning session on Day 3 when the heavens once again opened up to interrupt the proceedings of the ENG vs IND 1st Test match. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had earlier announced that play will resume in the England vs India 1st Test on Day 3 at 4:10 PM IST unless there is no more rain in Nottingham. But the drizzle is back at Trent Bridge and thus, there will be some more delay for the live cricket action. The latest update is that play will resume at 4:35 PM IST only if there is no appearance from the rain gods.

However, England made a fine comeback in the match especially during the second session on Day 2 on the back of James Anderson first getting the better of Cheteshwar Pujara and then dismissing Virat Kohli for a first ball duck. India vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was also dismissed run-out early as the visitors suddenly crumbled to 112 for 4 after a 97-run opening stand. The best thing for India is that KL Rahul is looking in an excellent touch playing on an unbeaten 58 runs with young Rishabh Pant 13 not out alongside him at the crease right now.
