ENG Playing 11: Hosts England will face Sri Lanka in the final T20I of the series here at Rose Bowl in Southampton. England have already clinched the series and are looking good for another win here. They seem to be more skilled and experienced at the moment and have proven why they are the No. 1 side in the world. England lead the current head-to-head record over the counterparts 7-4. With form on their side, they will look to clean sweep the series and take the confidence into ODIs.
Jos Buttler has been ruled out of this match and the ODIs due to calf injury. With this game being a dead rubber, the hosts might look for some changes in their eleven. Mark Wood might be rested ahead of the ODI series.
ENG Playing 11 (likely)
Jason Roy
Jonny Bairstow (wk)
Dawid Malan
Eoin Morgan (C)
Sam Billings
Liam Livingstone
Sam Curran
Mark Wood/ Moeen Ali
David Willey
Chris Jordan
Adil Rashid
Despite Buttler unavailable, England’s top order looks powerful with Bairstow and Roy at the top. Malan hasn’t got a significant score for a while which will be a concern for the management while Livingstone has been impressive with both bat and ball which shows England’s bench strength in this format. The bowlers have been in good form as SL has failed to reach 130 in both the games.
England Squad
Eoin Morgan (C), Moeen Ali, Jonathan Bairstow, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler (WK), Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Liam Dawson, Chris Jordan, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, David Willey, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood.
