ENG vs IND 2nd Test Live: England is currently in a very good position in the ongoing 2nd Test match against India at Lord’s. English skipper Joe Root is nearing his second century in this five-match Test series while Jonny Bairstow is batting on an unbeaten fifty. However, during the first session on Day 3 of the Test match, the Lord’s crowd displayed a poor sportsman spirit.
Wooden bottle corks thrown at KL Rahul
During the opening session on Day 3 of the second Test match between England and India, the English fans at the Lord’s cricket ground were seen throwing champagne bottle corks at KL Rahul who was fielding near the boundary line. It was a shameful display of sportsman spirit from the English crowd and even the Indian skipper Virat Kohli was seen getting angry with this behaviour at the Home of Cricket.

So the #England crowd is at it again throwing corks at #KLRahul. Virat as usual leads the way in taking charge of the situation. Shame on the folks who threw them. @MichaelVaughan ENG fans need to understand the game more and some classes are needed when it comes to discipline.

Talking about the game, the host England team had a remarkable opening session with the bat on Day 3 as the overnight pair of skipper Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow came out unbeaten. The English aggressive batting duo showed great application and temperament to tackle the Indian bowlers in that session before lunch. Root and Bairstow have already added a total of 108 runs for the brilliant fourth wicket partnership with England comfortably placed at 216 for 3. The England captain is nearing back-to-back hundreds batting on an unbeaten 89 runs while Jonny Bairstow is 51 not out. On the other hand, India are still ahead by 148 runs in this Test match but they would want to take a wholesome of wickets in the second session.

Earlier in the Test match, India scored 364 runs in the first innings courtesy a sensational hundred from KL Rahul while Rohit Sharma also smashed a wonderful 83-run knock. For England, James Anderson picked up an amazing five-wicket haul.
