The in-form bowler of Australian cricket team, Nathan Lyon has suffered an ankle injury one week before the fourth Ashes test. According to reports, the spinner “slightly twisted his ankle” during a game of touch football in training session. However, it is not so bad and Nathan has got one whole week to recover, therefore he might be fit till the next test at Old Trafford next Wednesday.
Nathan not a part of Australian team against Derbyshire
Nathan Lyon after his injury in a training session was abide from any sport activity and has been recommended some rest. Furthermore, he has been ruled out from playing in Australian side against Derbyshire. However, he is expected to be recover soon enough to play for the 4th Ashes test between England and Australia.
In a tweet written by a senior Australia cricket writer, has mentioned that,” “Nathan Lyon just limped off training track at Derby after turning his ankle during touch football game.
“Update is Lyon has slightly twisted ankle and will sit out remainder of football game as precaution. Not in doubt for Old Trafford (cricket ground).”
Australia’s chance to take lead in the 4th test:
The team must be having some difficult time after, England won the last test with one wicket, taking the series towards a tie situation. Now, for Australia to get back on tracks it is very important for them to have all their key players fit and Nathan Lyon will surely play a crucial role if Australian team is to retain their position in the game.
Nathan took 14 wickets in their opening test against England. With Smith’s uncertainty in the game, Australia cannot afford to lose their another star player in the game.
The fourth Ashes test between England and Australia will take place in Greater Manchester at Old Trafford next Wednesday.
