List of Indian batters who have scored Double century in ODI

A double century in ODI cricket is a dream of every cricketer. It is worth mentioning that there have been only 8 players who have achieved this feat in the history of ODI cricket so far, out of which 5 are Indians.

We will be talking about Indian batters who have scored a 200 in their ODI career. So without any further ado, let’s take a look.
1. Sachin Tendulkar (200* vs South Africa, 2010)
Sachin Tendulkar will forever remain the flag bearer of Indian batting. The little-master also happens to be the first man to score a double ton in ODI cricket. Sachin smashed an unbeaten 200 against the mighty South African bowling lineup at the Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior.
2. Virender Sehwag (219 vs West India, 2011)
The second ODI double century was scored by the ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’ i.e., Virender Sehwag. The swashbuckling opener scored 219 against West Indies in Indore to register the second double century in ODI by any player.
3. Rohit Sharma (264 vs SL, 209 vs Aus, and 208* vs SL)
The third name on the list is of the ‘Hit’ Man. Rohit Sharma has scored the most number of ODI double hundreds. His first double ton came in 2013 against Australia at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as he scored 209. In the following year i.e., 2014 he scored the highest individual score of 264 in men’s ODI against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. His third and final ODI double ton also came against Sri Lanka in 2017 when he scored 208* at Mohali.
4. Ishan Kishan (210 vs Bangladesh, 2022)
After 2017, India’s next individual ODI double ton came in December 2022. It was Ishan Kishan who opened the innings alongside Shikhar Dhawan and scored a magnificent double ton in Chattogram, Bangladesh. His 210 also happens to be the first ODI double ton for India outside home.
5. Shubman Gill (208 vs New Zealand, 2023)
The third and final name on this list is of Shubman Gill. The right hander blasted a brilliant 208 against the Blackcaps at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Gill hit 3 sixes in the final over of the innings to score a Double century in ODI.
