Dinesh Karthik picks his all-time IPL XI

Dinesh Karthik’s All time IPL 11: The specialist wicket keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has recently formulated his all time IPL XI. In that list there were quite a few former greats, as well as some quality individuals from the current lot of players. Being a keeper himself, Karthik excluded CSK captain MS Dhoni and kept himself in the side.
The likes of Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir were picked as the openers. Virat Kohli was slotted for the number three spot, whereas, Rohit Sharma also made the cut at number four. Power hitter and team mate Adre Russell was also included by Karthik.
Sunil Narine was added as the mystery spinner and as someone who can be utilized as a floater in the batting order. Former Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath was there too, as ‘DK’ also played along side him for the ‘Delhi Daredevils’ in the first ever season of the IPL. Jaspirt Bumrah, Mitchell Starc and Yuzvedra Chahal were the final three members of his all time IPL XI.

Dinesh Karthik is one of the most experienced players in the IPL since it’s start. The veteran wicket keeper has been a part of six franchises so far, and is currently a valued player of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) camp. He gave up his captaincy half way down the season in the previous edition, while, handing it over to England international Eoin Morgan.
Dinesh Karthik was last seen as one of the broadcasters for Sky Sports for the India vs England series. He was praised heavily by cricket fans for his in depth analysis as people wanted to hear more from him. However, the focus now shifts on the IPL 2021 for DK and his KKR team mates. Karthik has featured in 196 IPL appearances, while scoring 3823 runs, which includes 19 fifties and a strike rate of 130.

KKR vs SRH Live IPL 2021
The first match of the season for the Knight Riders will be against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambram Stadium, on April 11, Two time champions KKR finished at 5th last season and missed out on a spot in the playoffs due to the Net Run Rate. However, Eoin Morgan and his men, with the quality in depth they’ve got will be looking to reclaim lost glory.
