Live cricketing action resumed in South Africa this morning with the much-awaited 3 Team cricket. The most latest and complex format of the game started off with a bang as batsmen of all three teams went all guns blazing. But as expected, the one man who stole the show with his batting master class was none other than one of cricket’s all-time great Abraham Benjamin De Villiers. He scored 61 runs from 24 balls to take his side to a match-winning total.

The 3 Team cricket match which is held for a charitable cause was meant to mark the reunion of AB De Villiers with his South African teammates. There were wide speculations that he will be making a return to the South African T20 side if he proves himself in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League.
Ever since this news broke out there were questions regarding his fitness and big match exposure. Since his retirement from international cricket, he was playing across franchise tournaments around the globe as a T20 freelancer. This led to people questioning his return to the national side.
For the sake of all those people who needed proof for his ability, the freak has put on an absolute show in the first ever 3 Team Cricket match. There he has made a case for himself, as he whacked each and every bowler out of the park. The SuperSport Park in centurion witnessed yet another ABD show as he scored a quickfire 61 runs off 24 balls after closing his first innings on 11 runs not out from 7 balls. He along with Aiden Markham who scored 70 runs from 33 balls took the Eagles to a healthy score of 160 runs.
