They shelled out the whopping amount to bring back Ishan Kishan and also acquired the likes of Jofra Archer, Dewald Brevis, Tymal Mills, Tim David and Fabian Allen. English pacer Jofra Archer will not take part in this year’s tournament as he’s still on his road to recovery after an injury that kept him out of the game for long.
The Rohit Sharma-led MI will be without Suryakumar Yadav for the first match. Suryakumar Yadav is currently at NCA and is undergoing rehabilitation. The right-hander suffered a hairline fracture on his thumb during the T20I series against the West Indies. He can join the team’s squad only after getting the clearance from NCA. On joining the squad, he will undergo three days of isolation, which makes his availability for the match against DC in doubt.
