Aryan Juyal IPL: In a big news update, Mumbai Indians (MI) star player Ishan Kishan has not taken the field as the wicket-keeper in the second innings of the ongoing match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Ishan played a fabulous unbeaten knock of 81 runs off just 48 balls that included 11 fours and 2 sixes to help Mumbai Indians reach a challenging total of 177 for 5.

During the final ball of the Mumbai Indians innings, Ishan Kishan got hit on the toe through a yorker from Shardul Thakur after which he was seen limping off the field. In the absence of Ishan, Aryan Juyal is the wicket-keeper substitute for the Mumbai Indians in the second innings against Delhi. The 20-year-old Uttar Pradesh-born cricketer was bought by Mumbai in the IPL 2022 mega auction at his base price of INR 20 Lakh.
Juyal has not played a lot of domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh having played as many as 35 matches across the three formats of the game. In 7 T20 games, the right-hander has scored 67 runs at a strike-rate of close to 125.

After losing the toss and being put in to bat first, the Mumbai Indians got off to a brilliant start courtesy both their openers, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan going against the Delhi bowlers right from the word go. The opening duo added an excellent partnership of 67 runs in 8.2 overs before Rohit got out for a 32-ball 41. Mumbai lost some crucial wickets at regular intervals during the middle-overs but Ishan was looking in a wonderful touch on the other end. The left-hander remained unbeaten till the end for 81 off 48 balls as Mumbai Indians finished with 177 runs on the scoreboard. For Delhi Capitals, Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets while Khaleel Ahmed also took two vital scalps.

The Mumbai Indians have made a fabulous start with the ball as well with leg-spinner Murugan Ashwin removing both Tim Seifert and Mandeep Singh in a single over. Delhi Capitals have also lost their skipper Rishabh Pant inside the first six overs of the powerplay.
