It has been a topsy-turvy season so far for the Kolkata Knight Riders as they are looking to avoid a hattrick of loss in this season. They are being hosted by Delhi Capitals in match no 28 of Tata IPL 2023 and have made as many as 4 changes to their eleven. One of the four changes today is the omission of Afghanistan’s swashbuckling opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz who has been replaced by Bangladesh’s Litton Das.
DC vs KKR: Why is Rahmanullah Gurbaz Not Playing Today’s IPL 2023 Match?
The Kolkata Knight Riders have made some significant changes to their eleven. They have left out Afghanistan keeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz has been dropped for Bangladesh’s keeper batter Litton Das. It’s going to be IPL debut for Das who has been doing really well in recent times for his country. This move was somehow on the cards as Gurbaz was given his chances but the right-hander apart from a fifty against RCB has remained ordinary in this season. Here’s what skipper Nitesh Rana said at the toss,
“We are playing after 3 years thanks to Covid. Every thing feels new. We have four changes. Tough to remember. If we play as a unit. It should be tough to beat us.”
