The former captain of the Delhi Capitals, Shreyas Iyer has returned to the Indian Premier League 2021 and has been making runs, and has displayed fine catching and fielding efforts. He has stabilized the team well in crucial situations. In the Qualifier 1 against Chennai Super Kings, Shreyas plucked a stunning catch on the boundary line.

This catch was particularly important for the franchise, as Robin Uthappa was terrific with his batting performances until his stay at the crease, and helped the team to have an edge over the opponents in the first 10 overs. Robin scored 63 runs off 44 balls, and was his first fifty in this season. He took the catch at the edge of boundary line, and helped to stop the momentum of the rampaging CSK team.
