It is an end of era when the fast bowler, Dale Steyn has bid farewell from all forms of Cricket. In a tweet posted by the bowler, he captioned it as “Announcement” where he shared a note and thanked teammates, journalists and fans.

Dale Steyn Career, Stats and Achievements
The fast bowler made his test debut against England in December 2004. His ODI debut came while playing for Africa XI, and made his T20I debut in 2007 against New Zealand. He was quite a successful bowler across all the three formats and certainly will retire as South Africa’s greatest bowler. He finished as the highest wicket-taker in Tests and T20Is, fifth highest wicket-taker in ODIs for South Africa. He last appeared for South Africa in an ODI match against Sri Lanka in March 2019. He featured in 93 Tests, 125 ODI’s, and 47 T20Is.

Styen displayed his reverse-swing abilities in the turning pitch of Nagpur and claimed his best figures in the test cricket.
6/8 vs Pakistan, at Johannesburg, 1-4 February 2013
This test match recorded the best ever figures of 11/60 for Dale Steyn. In the 1st innings, his figures read 6/8 that dismissed for a low score of 49 and then picked up another 5 wickets in the 2nd innings which helped the team to win by a huge margin of 211 runs.
5/87, 5/67, & 76 Runs vs Australia, at Melbourne Cricket Ground, 26-30 December 2008
Along with picking five wickets in both the innings against Australia, the fast bowler scored his highest ever test score of 76 runs. His effort helped the South Africa team to script history by winning first-ever test series in Australia and handed opposition a first home series loss after 1992.

It turned out to be one of the best test series for the fast bowler, Dale Steyn. He scalped 21 wickets in 3 matches and emerged as the highest wicket-taker in the series.
