Josh Hazlewood IPL 2022: The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have definitely performed impressively well in the last few matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season. Under the brand new captaincy of Faf du Plessis, the team has managed to register three really brilliant victories against Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians so far this year. In their fifth match of the season, the RCB side will now be battling out against the out-of-form Chennai Super Kings at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai on 12 April, 2022.
CSK vs RCB IPL 2022: Is Josh Hazlewood Playing Today?
After the availability of Australian cricketers, the big news is that senior right-arm fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has already joined the rest of the Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates upon completing his mandatory isolation period. Earlier, he was part of the Aussie Test team in the recently concluded historic series win in Pakistan after which he returned home due to some personal reason and then arrived late into the IPL bio-bubble. Hazlewood is very much expected to walk straightaway into the RCB playing 11 in the place of David Wiley who has delivered crucial performances so far both with the ball and bat.

He also bowled amazingly well in Australia’s sensational 2021 T20 World Cup winning campaign. Hazlewood’s presence will strengthen the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling attack this season. The Royal Challengers Bangalore picked the Aussie pacer at a hefty price of INR 7.75 Crore during the IPL 2022 mega auction.
