Despite the high probability of rainfall on Sunday, there is a significantly lower likelihood of rain disrupting the event on the reserve day. According to Weather.com, a reputable weather forecasting platform, the chances of rain in Ahmedabad at 7 PM on Monday (May 29) are only 6%. Who will win IPL 2023 if CSK vs GT final in Ahmedabad is washed out due to rain?
For a result to be determined in the IPL 2023 final, both teams must complete a minimum of five overs each. In case of rain or other weather disruptions causing a delay in the start of play, the deadline for a five-overs-per-side match has been set at 12:26 am.
Alternatively, if the toss takes place on Sunday but playing conditions are not feasible, a fresh toss will be conducted on Monday. In such a scenario, the participating franchises will also have the opportunity to make changes to their teams. If it becomes impossible to complete a five-overs-per-side match, a Super Over can be held, with a deadline set at 1:20 am.
However, if all the aforementioned possibilities are ruled out due to adverse weather conditions, the Gujarat Titans will be declared the winners of IPL 2023 since they finished higher than the Chennai Super Kings in the league stage points table.
