This is why CSK is a special team. Throughout the IPL 2019, MS Dhoni kept on playing underfiring players and just when the big moment arrived they performed.
Dwayne Bravo struggled to get his death bowling going in this tournament but today he gave just 19 runs in his four overs and claimed two wickets while the duo of Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson who had forgotten to score runs hammered a fifty each to suck out the remaining hopes of Delhi.
Thus CSK are once again in the finals of IPL and they will face Mumbai Indians on Sunday while it is curtains down on what will be a remembered as an inspiring, entertaining glorious campaign by Delhi Capitals.

Delhi restricted to 147
Batting first Delhi never got going as MS Dhoni made brilliant bowling changes to use the help from the pitch. Deepak Chahar removed Prithvi Shaw in the third over and then Dhoni brought Harbhajan Singh who sent back Shikhar Dhawan in the 6th over with extra bounce.
Dhoni’s smart maneuvering of bowlers
Ravindra Jadeja then got in the act and dismissed Colin Munro. Dhoni smartly reserved Dwayne Bravi and Imran Tahir for the second phase of the innings and it worked as Tahir got rid of Shreyas Iyer and Bravo accounted for Axar Patel.
Rishabh Pant tried fighting back but he was stranded at one end and he ended up scoring 38 off 25 balls. With Delhi at the brink of getting all out, Ishant Sharma collared Jadeja for a four and a six on the last two balls of 20th over to lift DC to 147 runs.

Defending a modest total, Delhi missed an easy run-out chance on the third ball of the innings and then there were a few inside edges and close calls. Importantly Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson survived the ordeal and then slammed individual fifties to give CSK full control.
