CSK Playing 11: Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions but they are not playing like one at the moment in IPL 2022. It is mainly due to their pathetic bowling attack, though, MS Dhoni managed the bowling attack pretty well in the last season, it was going to get exposed at some stage. Their batting is under the scanner as well as their middle order which escaped criticism in the 2nd half of the IPL 2021 mainly due to their openers is struggling this time around due to the lack of solid starts from openers in this year so far.
CSK vs SRH: CSK to go with 3 overseas all rounders
CSK played all of their 3 overseas pace bowling all rounders in Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan and Dwaine Pretorius and it did wonders to them as they restricted Punjab Kings to very minimal score at the death overs. The fact that all these bowlers can bowl at death and in the middle overs along with their six hitting ability makes their bowling a vastly improved attack compared to what they fielded in the first two games.
Highest Paid Player in IPL 2022
Chris Jordan can also swing the ball although he is not a great new ball bowler, MS Dhoni behind the stumps can get the best out of any ordinary bowler, and Chris Jordan can do wonders under the former CSK captain MS Dhoni.
Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja are not providing breakthroughs in the middle overs and they lack a solid wrist spinner which robs them a genius wicket taker in middle overs. They need Ruturaj Gaikwad to hit the form who has been abysmal in the first three games. The likes of Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu are going through a dry phase as well.
