Chris Gayle is one of the oldest crickets to play cricket in 2021. It is fair to say that he has achieved the legendary status fair and square. He is 41 years old and yet, bossing one of the most volatile formats in cricket in T20s.

He keeps coming hard at people who write him off in all possible scenarios even at the age of 41. He made his international debut in 1999 which means, universe BOSS is playing rigorous cricket across formats for the last 22 years.
He is being hailed as the Don Bradman of T20 cricket because of the sheer number of records he holds in this format. When Chris Gayle picks some players in his T20 team, those players surely have to be special, right?

Chris Gayle was asked to pick 3 players whom he would play in his T20 XI and the former West Indies captain chose his country mates in Nicholas Pooran and Andre Russell as the first two names.
The third name was the Indian vice captain in the limited overs format in Rohit Sharma. One can only imagine the scenes if Rohit Sharma and Chris Gayle open an innings in the shortest format of the game.

Chris Gayle had a very good second half of IPL in 2020 and he is expected to find his name right away in the playing 11 which was not the case in the previous edition of IPL where he was overlooked for Glenn Maxwell by Punjab Kings management but they realized their mistake and played Chris Gayle in the 2nd half of the tournament which was one of the main reasons for their turnaround.

West Indies are the defending champions in the shortest format of the game and they would be defending their title in the upcoming WT20 in October which is set to happen in India.
Before hanging up his boots, Chris Gayle would want to help his country defend the title.
