The newbie to the IPL Tushar Deshpande who has just played 3 games to date got to know what it takes to survive at the highest level when he was hammered by the universe BOSS, Chris Gayle. The skipper of the Delhi Capitals made a huge blunder by giving the ball to Tushar Deshpande inside the fielding restrictions when Chris Gayle was at the crease.

The move was baffling to say the least as it was just the 5th over of KXIP’s innings and Shreyas Iyer decided to go with his 5th bowler rather than bowling his pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada or the spin leader Ravichandran Ashwin. The move was poor to say the least and DC paid the price for it.

KXIP have won their last 2 games and were in search for their 3rd consecutive win and they needed 165 runs for the victory against Delhi Capitals who are the table toppers. KXIP came out with an intent and KL Rahul in particular, decided to take advantage of fielding restrictions but perished in the 3rd over of the innings.

DC were hit by Gayle-storm in the 5th over when Chris Gayle decided to take Tushar Deshpande and he did it without even breaking a sweat. He scored 24 runs off the over and Tushar Deshpande was shattered by Chris Gayle’s show.

Game changing knock from Nicholas Pooran

Shikhar Dhawan scored his 2 consecutive 100 in IPL which is the first by any batsmen in the history of IPL but it all went in vain due to Nicholas Pooran’s blitzkrieg in Dubai. The destructive southpaw scored a jaw-dropping 53 off 28 balls including 3 sixes and 6 fours.

DC were poor with their moves and kept feeding Nicholas Pooran with some thrash deliveries which, the batsmen accepted gleefully. DC might have to come up with better plans and strategies when bowling to destructive batsmen like Chris Gayle and Nicholas Pooran in the coming games.
