Big Bash League is back. The 59-game BBL 2018-19 will see every BBL franchise have a go at each other twice, playing 14 games each in the league stage. Here’s a look at the players who can rule this edition of the BIG BASH
Marcus Stoinis
Going by the recent form, this could well be Stoinis’ season. The all-rounder with 38 appearances for Australia was always considered ‘underrated’ but no more. He has all that is needed in the Twenty 20 format, he can bowl at any stage and bat at all positions. And, the confidence to go with it.
Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan, one of the most sought after T20 cricketers, has demonstrated his value around the globe. The Afghanistan spinner was the joint-top wicket-taker (along with Dwayne Bravo) with 18 scalps from 11 matches in the last edition. Not just his bowling, now he can give a good whack lower down the batting order.

Sandeep Lamichhane
Like Rashid Khan, Sandeep Lamichhane has made a name for himself in a short span of time. For a reason, he became the first Nepalese player to feature in both the IPL and the CPL over the past year. Now, he will feature in the Bash! He has in his armoury a couple of tricks that can surprise the best batters of spin.
D’Arcy Short
Short was a super success in the last edition. He has been the top scorers for almost every white-ball domestic tournament in Australia since the breakout 2017-18 season. He played incredibly for Western Australia in the JLT Cup and followed it with a bucket load of runs in the Big Bash with Hobart Hurricanes, emerging as the tournament’s leading scorer.
