Bangladesh have announced their squad for the ICC World Cup 2019 to be played in England and as expected the selectors have gone ahead with the core players. However there is one surprise in the form of Abu Jayed who is yet to play ODI cricket and still finds a place in the squad at the expense of Taskin Ahmed.
Meanwhile the selectors have shown faith in Mosaddek Hossain as well. Hossain hasn’t featured for Bangladesh after the 2018 Asia cup but he makes a return to the team with the World Cup.
Bangladesh balance experience and youth
The team management will be hoping that their core players- Tamim Iqbal, Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman and Mahmudullah deliver in the iconic ODI tournament organised by ICC.

There is also the exuberance of youth in the form of Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Mithun, Sabbir Rahman, Rubel Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
Minhajul Abedin, Chief selector for Bangladesh said that Jayed would be handy in England with his ability to swing and move the ball. He has played five Tests and three T20Is so far for Bangladesh.
Yasir, Nayeem included for Windies, Ireland matches
Bangladesh will be facing Windies and Ireland ahead of the World Cup. For these matches, the selectors have selected Yasir Ali and Nayeem Hasan as additional players.
Yasir scored 307 runs in 11 matches in the last season of BPL while the off-spinner Nayeem impressed with his temperament in the Tests series against Windies at home.
