The Bangladesh Premier League is set to start from 5th January. Seven teams are participating in this year’s BPL and the finals will be played on 08th February.
In the recent times Bangladesh has emerged as a force to reckon with and hence fans are excited to watch the battle between the Bangladesh players. The inclusion of overseas players has increased the excitement as well.
We look at the five players in BPL who could end up as the heroes of this edition of BPL.
#5. AB de Villiers-
This player needs no introduction. He is tailormade for T20 format and his batting is a pure delight to watch. But has anything changed in him since his retirement in international cricket? BPL will give the answer.
#4. Tamim Iqbal-
Bangladesh’s run-machine, Tamim Iqbal will be a key player in BPL. He is experienced, has the temperament and most importantly he is playing in conditions he knows pretty well.
#3. Sandeep Lamichhane-
Make no mistake, Sandeep Lamichhane will have plenty of eyes watching him when he bowls in the BPL. The Nepal spinner is young, energetic and has plenty of skills that make him a valuable player in this format.
Sandeep Lamichhane left the BBL to join David Warner in Bangladesh as the No.1 captain killer

Sandeep’s leg-spin has impressed everyone and currently, wrist spinners across the world are having a good time in white-ball cricket. Such is the impact of Sandeep that he can make or break the game for his side.
#2. Sunil Narine-
T20’s most popular bowler, Sunil Narine lost some of his bite after his action came under the scanner. But in Bangladesh, on pitches that suit his style, he can once again prove to be the most crucial player in the tournament.

This is probably the biggest attraction of BPL- David Warner back in action after being banned by CA for his involvement in ball tampering saga.
Warner has gone through a lot in the last few months but has it affected his fearless batting approach? The answers will be revealed soon.
